Short Supply Chains
Crafted in collaboration with the Manufacture Thierry in the heart of the Jura region, our eyewear combines French craftsmanship with environmental responsibility.
By prioritizing local artisans and short production circuits, we reduce transportation and our carbon footprint while providing long-term support for regional employment.
Made in Morbier, in the heart of the Jura region, the birthplace of eyewear savoir-faire. Each piece is the result of uncompromising craftsmanship, where tradition, passion and precision come together to create exceptional eyewear.

Sustainable Design
We place eco-design at the heart of our approach to ensure a more sustainable and environmentally friendly production process at every stage of the eyewear lifecycle.

Use of Bio-acetate.
We select materials that require fewer solvents and generate less waste.

Material Recycling.
We have implemented technical processes to create new acetate sheets from repurposed materials.

Use of Castor Oil.
We prioritize bio-based materials that are phthalate-free and BPA-free (<1%) for our baby range.
Product Lifecycle
Longetivity and Quality
We prioritize the longevity of our eyewear, placing quality and durability at the heart of our design. Our frames are built to withstand the demands of daily wear over time, crafted with meticulous attention to detail so they remain as reliable years down the line as the day they were made.
This lasting performance reflects our commitment to a more responsible, sustainable approach to consumption, creating eyewear you won't need to replace often because it was designed from the outset to endure.

Frame Donations
At Lafont, we believe that every frame we craft has a role to play at every stage of its lifecycle.
Each year, we donate a selection of frames from previous collections to various optometric schools, giving them a second life. This initiative supports the education of future optical professionals while promoting product reuse.
Through humanitarian associations, we also donate frames to those in need, providing them with access to high-quality eyewear.
These initiatives embody values close to our Maison: reducing waste, fostering community, preserving craftsmanship, and embracing a circular economy.
