Where anything is possible and the customer becomes the creator of their own pair of glasses with all the Lafont eyewear expertise at your disposal. Each frame is handmade by a "Meilleur Ouvrier de France" artisan in our atelier in the heart of Paris.
It is first of all a meeting and an exchange between the customer and the optician. An exchange to understand the desires, the habits of life, the professional uses… ... Where everything is possible! You may be inspired by a vintage piece from the Lafont archives, reproduce an existing frame in a new color, or create your brand new style! Once the shape is defined, it is time to pick the material: tortoiseshell, horn, or cellulose acetate. Lafont Maison, well-known for its love of color, will offer a wide range of colors to pick from. Finally, measurements will be taken. A bespoke frame is a unique piece that perfectly fits your face, a truly couture experience.
Each model is handmade by a "Meilleur Ouvrier de France" craftsman in our workshop in the heart of Paris, in our historic boutique located on rue Vignon in the Madeleine since 1923. It takes one month for the frame to be made, from the drawings made between the customer and the optician.
The key to the atelier process is the adjustment stage. The frame will be tried on and adjusted to fit perfectly on your face. Comfort is essential. The final measurements can then be made to select and order optical lenses.
